- Plan the Network Configuration
- Determine X.25 iX System Access Network Characteristics
- X.25 Configuration Worksheet
- X.25 Virtual Circuit Configuration Worksheet
- Identify Neighbor Gateways
This chapter details the information you will need before you can begin to
configure X.25 iX System Access for host-based systems that will include an
X.25 system-to-system link. Sample worksheets are included to ease
configuration.
Hewlett-Packard recommends that you configure the datacommunications and
terminal subsystem (DTS) before configuring the NS X.25 link. If you have not
already done so, turn to chapters 2 and 3 in this manual for information on
how to configure your system's DTCs.
If you also need to configure a point-to-point link or a LAN link, see the
HP 3000/ iX Network
Planning and Configuration Guide.
This chapter describes how to:
- Plan the network configuration for X.25 iX System Access.
- Determine network characteristics for X.25 iX System Access.
- Identify Neighbor Gateways.

NOTE: If you are configuring X.25 iX System Access on a system using
PC-based network management (an OpenView workstation is part of the network),
you should use the
HP 3000/iX Network Planning and Configuration Guide
instead of this manual to configure the X.25 link.
