Phase 8:  Verifying the Code Word 

After HP Predictive Support successfully completes its first run, verify
whether or not an active code word was received.

   1.  Check the code word download message displayed on the system
       console

          a.  If the message is Code word request has been successfully
              processed [PSCWDRE], an active code word was received.  Go
              to Phase 9, Reviewing the Action Summary Report. 

          b.  If the message has a key other than PSCWDRE, go to step 2.

              OR

       Go to the Configure Code Word Menu and check the Status of the
       code word.

          a.  If the Status is Active, an active code word was received.
              Go to Phase 9, Reviewing the Action Summary Report.''

          b.  If the Status is Grace, go to step 3.

   2.  From the Main Menu:  Type 4 8 or configure code.

       This displays the Configure Code Word Menu:

   3.  Check the accuracy of the system serial and model numbers and the
       area code in the customer contact phone number with the support
       contract.

          a.  If any of the fields are incorrect,

                 i.  Go to the Configure Customer Information Menu and
                     enter the corrections.

                ii.  Type 3 4 or transfer request from the psconfig Main
                     Menu.

                     A code word received from this request will be
                     automatically added to the HP Predictive Support
                     Database and be reflected in psconfig.  Return to
                     step 1.

          b.  If all the fields are correct, send comments to the HP
              Response Center through the Maintenance Menu that an active
              code word was not received although the customer
              information entered into psconfig is correct.  See Chapter
              5 for instructions on sending comments.
