Dismounting CD-ROM Disks 

If you accidentally insert an MPE/iX disk into a CD-ROM drive attached to
an HP 3000 system instead of inserting a PC-based CD-ROM disk, you may
need to dismount the MPE/iX disk before removing it from the drive.


NOTE  If you have an external CD-ROM drive, do not turn it off in an
      attempt to dismount the disk.  Turning off the drive does not
      dismount the disk and may cause your system to hang.


To dismount a CD-ROM disk from a SCSI drive, type: 

     :VSCLOSE volume_set_name 
     :AVRSCSI.INSTALL.SYS DISMOUNT:ldev# 

To dismount a CD-ROM disk from an HP-IB drive, type: 

     :VSCLOSE volume_set_name
