The Client Files
The client software contains the files described in Table 4-1.

File Description

MSCDEX.EXE The Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions for MS-DOS.
This file is a TSR
(terminate-and-stay-resident) program that
requires approximately 32 KB of memory below
the 640 KB barrier.

HPNETCD.EXE A virtual device driver that works with
MSCDEX to create CD-ROM access requests and
send them across the network to CDSERVER.
This driver requires an additional 16 KB of
memory below the 640 KB barrier.
