What Access SQL/iX Does Access SQL/iX is the HP 3000-based SQL server component of Information Access. It works with the PC-based application Information Access to give PC users access to the following relational database management systems on HP 3000 Series 900 computers: * ALLBASE/SQL * ORACLE * INGRES With Access SQL/iX, PC users can view and work with ALLBASE/SQL, ORACLE, and INGRES tables in the following ways: * Select only the data needed for viewing and manipulation. * Sort and summarize table information. * Save and/or print the results of table manipulations. * Reformat result tables for use in popular PC applications. Result tables can be downloaded directly to PC databases and spreadsheets such as: * dBASE II, III, III+, and IV * R:base 4000/5000, R:base System V, and R:base for DOS * Paradox * Symphony * Lotus 1-2-3 * Executive Card Manager (ECM) * Microsoft Excel Result tables can be converted to DIF format for Graphics Gallery, to ASCII for Microsoft Word and other PC word processors, or to CSV (Comma-Separated Variable used by Information Access) for R:base, Lotus 1-2-3, and other applications.
