Datacomm Troubleshooting Procedure No.  6 

Probable Cause of File Transfer Failure:  A noisy line.

   1.  Initiate a transfer normal file transfer.

   2.  If the transmission fails consistently due to a noisy line,
       contact the local phone company and initiate steps to transmit on
       another line.

       OR 

       Contact the HP Response Center for further assistance.

To initiate a file transfer:

   *   Go to the psconfig Main Menu; type tr no; and press Return.

       OR

   *   At the MPE prompt, type run psconfig.pred.sys;info="tr no" and
       press Return.
