Formal File Designators 

Users can change the default printer, to which prints of HP Desk items or
of their Calendar are sent, by tailoring their user profile.  This
section lists the formal file designators to which HP Desk programs send
output to enable you to change the administration file designators with a
file equation, should you wish.  For example, you could direct printed
output to a Hewlett-Packard laser printer (first example), or to a file
on disk (second example):

     :FILE MAILPRNT;DEV=LASER;ENV=ELITE.HPENV.SYS

     :FILE MAILPRNT;DEV=DISC;ENV=;SAVE

File          | Description 
Designator    |

BCREPORT      | Configurator and Batch Configurator
              | output file.  (Actually
              | BCREPORT.MAILDB.HPOFFICE.) Defaults
              | to $NULL.
DESKLOG       - User interface log file.
FORMLIST      | The  Print function key of the
              | Configurator sends information to
              | this file.
MAILIN        - User interface input file.
MAILOUT       - User interface output file.
MAILPRNT      | The user command PRINT sends
              | information to this file.
MREPORT       | The operator command MAILREPORT sends
              | a maintenance report to this file.
