4.  Starting the System 

   1.  Execute a system start by entering, at the ISL> prompt:

            ISL>START NORECOVERY GROUP=CONFGnnn 

       For nnn enter 950 for a Series 950, 925 for a Series 925, and so
       on for the respective series.

   2.  At the time/date prompt, enter the time and date only if it is
       incorrect; otherwise press Return.

   3.  At the end of the START NORECOVERY procedure (which takes about
       three minutes), the system attempts to log on as OPERATOR.SYS.
       Since the user does not exist, the attempt fails.  Then the logon
       prompt (MPE XL:) is displayed.

       If the MPE XL: prompt does not appear, press Return several times.
       When the prompt MPE XL: displays, enter:

            MPE XL:HELLO MANAGER.SYS;HIPRI 

       The system may display a welcome message, and will display the
       command interpreter prompt (:).
