Requirements for Installation
Before installing the system software, verify the following with your
customer engineer (CE):
* All system and peripheral hardware is physically present and
correctly installed.
* All channel I/O (CIO) boards are installed and cabled to their
respective peripheral devices.
* The device address switches of all peripheral devices are correctly
set. This is particularly important with regard to the system disk,
tape drives, and the system console.
* All system and peripheral device power supplies are connected to
power sources of the correct voltage, frequency, and current
capacity.
* Several blank tapes are available as well as at least one disk pack
for each disk drive with removable packs.
