Obtaining Status Using DTCCNTRL

X.25 and PAD Services Control

The DTS shutdown capability is provided by the DTCCNTRL command. It allows you to bring down the entire DTS subsystem and includes the release of all TIO-related system resources. DTCCNTRL requires that you have a minimum of System Manager (SM) capability, this operation can only be done from the system console. When combined with the DTS restart capability, you can resolve errors that may arise during Datacomm Configurator (DCC) start-up without rebooting the HP 3000 host. If you see DCC error messages, first fix any problems that caused the DCC startup error and then run DTCCNTRL to shut down and restart DTS.

Note
CAUTION: When the "forced" option is invoked, then all sessions logged on to TIO devices will be aborted and all spooled TIO printers will be stopped.

Note
NOTE: Issuing the DTCCNTRL command to perform a DTS shutdown will result in the deletion of the entire DTS/TIO subsystem from the system. No TIO users can use the system while it is shut down.

The DTS restart capability is provided by the DTCCNTRL command and allows you to restart the DTS subsystem. This command can only be invoked after the DTS subsystem has been shutdown. The DTS subsystem will be restarted in the same way that occurs when the system is rebooted.
