PRODUCT OVERVIEW
With the HP 700/92A Asian Data Entry Terminal, you can talk to your HP
3000 systems in Asian languages. The HP 700/92A enables you to use Asian
characters in your applications that communicate with any HP 3000 system.
Equally at home in a software development or a high volume data entry
environment, it is the most cost-effective Asian terminal yet for use
with HP systems.
The HP 700/92A has four language versions: Japanese, Korean, Simplified
Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Each language version provides you
with a specific Asian tongue.
PRODUCT FEATURES
The HP 700/92A is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of
Asian users. It supports a wide variety of character input methods, so
you can choose the one you prefer. Combining the built-in hardware fonts
and the HP User-Definable Fonts (UDF), you will have access to more than
enough characters for all your applications. Block and format modes give
you a simple, convenient method of processing Asian data within existing
applications. The bilingual error messages and function key labels
enable you to operate and control the terminal more easily. The
localized keyboard with color-coded Asian legends helps guide you to the
correct keystrokes.
You can use Roman characters with Asian characters at the same time. The
terminal is so clever in handling the mixed characters that you do not
have to concentrate on editing screen data. You can also run any one of
the existing English application programs using this terminal. It is
fully compatible with HP 2392A! And in addition, the HP 700/92A can work
with all the other Asian peripherals under the support of the Native
Language I/O subsystem (NLIO). It is one of the honest team members in
