Collecting Data The first step in the forecasting process is to collect data. The more information you have--that is, the more data upon which you base your forecasts--the more accurate your forecasts will be. You can recognize trends with greater accuracy. And with better forecasts, you can do a better job of capacity planning. The HP LaserRX/MPE SCOPE collector supplies the data upon which HP RXForecast bases its forecasts.
