Hardware and Software Requirements
HP 3000.
Use Resource Sharing version A.02.00 with MPE/iX version 4.0, Power Patch
level B.40.07 or later.
To check the version, on the HP 3000 type:
PRINT PATCHAUD.PUB.SYS
The Power Patch version is displayed under the PPT TAPE heading.
PC Client.
The recommended version is Microsoft's LAN Manager client software,
version 2.2 with the 2.2b patch.
To check the version on the PC, at the DOS prompt type:
NET VERSION
Networking Environment.
* HP EtherTwist, HP StarLAN10, or HP ThinLAN software for PCs
* HP ThinLAN 3000/iX Link (HP 36923A) on the HP 3000 system
* LAN Manager Client 2.2b or later, or Windows for Workgroups Client

NOTE TCP/IP protocol must also be installed for Windows for Workgroups

Printers.
Resource Sharing supports a variety of printers, making them available to
every user on the network. Printers supported range from high-speed
system printers to the HP LaserJet and HP DeskJet families, which
integrate text and graphics for clear, professional documents.
