HP Resource Sharing for MPE/iX

Deleting the Configuration File

The configuration file, PDCONFIG.PPC.SYS, stores information about the
shared disc environment, and is required for program operation. When you
load the Resource Sharing software, this file contains the default
configuration values. PDCONFIG is a privileged file and cannot be
modified or deleted except by the Delete Configuration function in
RESMGR.

RESMGR provides the delete function so you can remove the configuration
file from your system if necessary. For example, if you were to move the
Resource Sharing software to a new system, you might want to delete the
file from the old system.

NOTE Although you can delete the configuration file, it is unlikely that you will need to do so under normal operating conditions.
To delete the configuration file: 1. Access the RESMGR main screen and choose System f4. 2. Choose Delete Config f3. RESMGR prompts: This function deletes the configuration file. Continue? Y/N 3. Enter Y if you are certain you need to delete the file. RESMGR prompts: The configuration file (PDCONFIG.PPC.SYS) has been deleted. ________________________________________________________________________ |If using commands, at the SYSTEM> prompt enter: | | | | | |DELETECONFIG | ________________________________________________________________________
