Chapter 9 Managing Shared Discs The Resource Manager Utility (RESMGR) extends your available PC file space by letting you store and access data on an HP 3000-resident shared disc. You can also share your data with others by granting them access to your shared disc. This chapter explains using the function labels to perform basic RESMGR functions. In addition, the corresponding command syntax is included in a shaded box at the end of each task description for your use if you are entering commands rather than choosing function labels. Complete descriptions of all commands are in Chapter 11, "Resource Manager Commands." This chapter covers tasks available to all users of RESMGR, regardless of MPE capabilities. Users with System Manager and Node Manager capability should also read Chapter 10, "Resource Manager Advanced Functions," to learn about other RESMGR tasks.
