Phase F. Configuring IMAGE Tables [ Information Access Server: Planning and Configuring ] MPE/iX 5.0 Documentation
Information Access Server: Planning and Configuring
Phase F. Configuring IMAGE Tables
In Phase D you configured your IMAGE databases. Now you can configure
IMAGE tables from them. An IMAGE table is derived from one IMAGE dataset
and can contain as many as 64 items (columns).
When Access Server is installed, an IMAGE table called JOB-STATUS is
automatically configured from the JOB-STATUS dataset of the HDPENV
database to help your users track the progress of jobs they launch using
the Host Batch Facility. For details, see the discussion at the end of
Chapter 13, "Batch Processing with Command Files," in the Information
Access Server: Database Administration manual.
NOTE For users of the OMNIDEX Information Management System, IMSAM
composite keys appear in the Show IMAGE Table screens. For more
information, see the OMNIDEX Information Management System
Reference Manual and "IMSAM Composite Keys" in Appendix B of the
Information Access Server: Database Administration manual.
