Defining Complex View Tables
Lesson 5 covers complex view table definition. It presents the
"advanced" view table features not taught in Lesson 2.
Lesson Plan:
In Lesson 5, you will:
A. Add another database.
B. Add IMAGE tables containing only selected items.
C. Add a view table that joins data from two IMAGE tables and defines
part of an item as a new item.
D. Add a view table that joins data from two view tables, calculates
a new item, substitutes full words for "coded" data, and selects
and sorts records.
E. Add a view table that joins three tables (two IMAGE tables and one
view table) into one view table.
F. Add a view table that resolves a compound data item into
individual items and calculates averages.
G. Configure table security.
