Information Access Server: Learning the Administrator Utility

In Review

Review the material in Lesson 4 by answering the following questions.

________________________________________________________________________

Q-1. What are the two methods for generating reports about the
configuration?

A-1. You can use the Print f1 function label on various screens within
the Administrator Utility, or you can use the Report on Configuration
(ROC) screen. (Lesson 4:A and 4:B)

________________________________________________________________________

Q-2. How do the two methods differ?

A-2. The first method prints only the information from the screen(s) on
which the Print f1 function label appears. The second method prints
groups of information by category (for example, all database
definitions). (Lesson 4:B)

________________________________________________________________________

Q-3. When are reports actually printed?

A-3. Reports generated in the Administrator Utility are sent to the MPE
spooler when you leave the utility. (Lesson 4:B)

________________________________________________________________________

Q-4. How do you control whether or not passwords print on reports?

A-4. If you are the primary DBA, before generating a report, you can go
to the Password Options (PW) screen and specify whether or not to print
passwords. If you change your password options after using the Print
f1 function label or the Report on Configuration screen, the new options
only affect subsequently generated printouts and reports. (Lesson 4:B.)
