Print Log File
When you've specified the databases you want translated and pressed
Enter, the Translator Utility shows you, on screen, the success or
failure of each attempt to translate a database or dataset. This same
information is written to a log file, either TRANSLOG or the alternate
name you've given upon running the utility.
To print the log file, return to the Dictionary/3000 Information screen
and choose Print Log File f1. The log file printout is directed to the
file TRANLIST. The default print device Access Server associates with
this file is LP.
If you want to direct your output to a different device, you'll need to
set up a file equation before running the utility. For example, if you
have a laser printer configured with device class name PP, then the file
equation
:FILE TRANLIST;DEV=PP;ENV=LP2.HPENV.SYS
redirects your output to the laser printer.
