Information Access Server: Database Administration
Configuring for the Tutorial
The Information Access product comes with two tutorials, one for the PC
user in the Learning Information Access PC manual, and one for the DBA in
the Information Access Server: Learning the Administrator Utility
manual.
You do not have to set up anything for the PC user to take the Access PC
tutorial. However, you do have to set up the DBA tutorial to let other
DBAs take it.
The system must be configured a certain way to prepare the tutorial for a
new DBA learner. Entries made to the Information Access data dictionary
by the previous DBA learner must be removed so that the next DBA learner
can take the tutorial. The configuration process is automated for your
convenience.
To set up the tutorial, log on as MANAGER.HPOFFICE and type the UDC
:TUTORIAL
or type
:RUN ADMIN.PPC.SYS;PARM=6;
Either way, you will be prompted for your user name and password. (If
you don't want to be prompted for your user name and password, typeRUN
ADMIN.PPC.SYS;PARM=6;INFO="DBAusername/password".)
