HP Predictive Support CE Guide For HP 3000 Series 900
Testing the Connection
Test the X.25 network connection that is established between the
Predictive Gateway Node and the HP Response Center Node.
For HP 3000 Predictive Gateway Node at the System Prompt
1. Type dsline HP Response Center node name (in our example,
predict.x25.hp).
2. Type remote
If the above commands execute without any errors, the connection is
successfully configured.
For HP Router ER
1. Go to the Main Menu screen
2. Type 2 to select Network Control Language Interpreter
3. Type ping HP Response Center X.25 Network IP address
After transmitting the request message to the HP Response Center Node,
the router waits for a response. A message will return indicating that
the HP Response Center node is "alive," or a message that this HP
Response Center node is unreachable since it did not respond.
NOTE It is also recommended that you also ping a system on the
customer's network to verify that the LAN port is working by typing
ping and the IP address of an HP 3000 system.
