Phase 7: Determining the HP Predictive Support Run Schedule
Running HP Predictive Support on a daily basis maximizes the benefit
derived from its analyses of the system. You can choose to run HP
Predictive Support in the following ways:
* Through the Automatic Scheduler in psconfig.
* Through a daily routine.
Automatic Scheduler in psconfig
The Automatic Scheduler (detailed in Chapter 4, "Customization") lets you
set HP Predictive Support to run at a number of different times and ways.
You can:
* Set a default time at which HP Predictive Support runs daily.
* Set a specific time for each day at which HP Predictive Support
runs, or set the schedule such that HP Predictive Support does not
run on a specific day.
* Set a combination of default and specific times.
Daily Routine
If you choose not to use the Automatic Scheduler, you should schedule HP
Predictive Support into a daily routine. (Details are in Chapter 4,
"Customization.")
CAUTION Do not run HP Predictive Support and a system store
simultaneously. HP Predictive Support functionality will be
impacted.
