Reading the Road Map The UTILITY program that runs on the HP 3000 serves as an "atlas" of road maps for HP LaserRX/MPE. It can tell you what system data has been collected on which dates. Once familiar with a system, you might run the UTILITY program only occasionally to check the data collection process. We ran UTILITY to obtain the raw logfile LOGGLOB.SCOPE.SYS. It contains global and application data covering 1 March to 25 August 1988. You might want to look at this entire interval to see how things went overall, but because the period is so large, you would only study portions of it in detail. Moving the entire 63 Mbytes of collected data to the PC would take more time and disc space than you might have available.
