Chapter 6 Tailoring the Help System HP Desk is supplied with a comprehensive on-line help system. All the files that comprise the help system are accessible, editable, and extendible. This section explains how you can tailor the help system to your installation's requirements by amending or extending it. Understanding the way the help system is constructed will allow you to go beyond what is suggested here--potentially enabling you to completely restructure the help system, should you wish to do so. If you have installed any optional products that use the HP Desk help system, you can tailor the on-line help for those products in exactly the same way as described here. HP Desk actually has two help systems that are customizable. The first concerns the comprehensive help page system now used by HP Desk, which is described in this chapter; and the second concerns initial help on entry to particular areas, which is described in "Tailoring Initial Introductory Help" .
