Configuration Options
The following generic function keys are used in the Configurator:
* f1 returns you to the previous menu, or screen.
* Add f2 adds the information in the fields of the screen to the
database.
* Delete f3 deletes the information in the field of a screen from
the database. We recommend that before pressing this key at any
information screen, you press Get (see below). Full details of
the item are then displayed, so you can confirm you are deleting
the correct item.
* Refresh Screen f4 displays the current screen if it becomes
distorted.
* Get f5 retrieves the details of the specified element from the
database and displays them in the fields on screen. It is
advisable to use this function key to call up the information
about corresponding features, such as location, computer or user,
before you modify or delete any information. In this way you can
check you are altering the correct feature.
* Modify f6 modifies an existing item in the database according to
the information in the fields of the screen.
If you leave a field blank, the corresponding information in the
database element becomes an empty string. To ensure that no
values are accidentally erased in this way, you should press Get
before modifying an item to check you are modifying the correct
item.
* Print Screen f7 prints the current screen and its contents to the
spoolfile FORMLIST, which is printed to the system line printer
when you exit the Configurator. You can change the destination of
the formal file designator FORMLIST, if you want to, by using a
file equation.
* List f8 lists elements corresponding to the information contained
in the fields of the screen. For example, all the locations for a
specified country, or all the sublocations for a specified
location.
