HP DeskManager Administration

Chapter 20  Operator Commands

The descriptions of the commands used to control and maintain HP Desk are
listed in this chapter. A description of the use and correct syntax for
each command is included.

The commands are grouped into three sections:

   *   Control Commands

   *   Status Commands

   *   Maintenance Commands

You will find overviews of these areas at the beginning of this chapter.
The final section of this chapter individually describes the commands.

HP Desk operator commands are User Defined Commands (UDCs) which are
defined in the file OPERUDC.MAILLIB.HPOFFICE. You should ensure that you
have access to these commands through the MPE SETCATALOG command before
you attempt to use them. The availability of the operator commands
depends on where you have used the SETCATALOG command.

For example, you may make the commands available to anyone who logs on as
a user in the HPOFFICE account. Alternatively, you may restrict their
use to specific users, such as MANAGER.SYS and OPERATOR.SYS. You can also
edit UDCs to include a number of commands. The MPE reference manuals
have further details on the implementation of UDCs.
