Labeling the Plastic Case and Optical Disk Label both the plastic case and the optical disk it contains with the adhesive labels provided with each disk.
CAUTION Do not affix the label to the area of the disk where it will interfere with the operation of the metal shutter. If the metal shutter does not slide freely, it can cause a jam in the Model 20GB/A device and result in a loss of data.
Some suggestions for labeling are: * Disk number (e.g. 1, 2,...32). * Date of formatting and initializing. * Disk owner (e.g. systems administrator, department, etc.). * Storage purpose (e.g. daily backup, weekly backup, etc.). * A "For Model 20GB/A Use" notation.
