Appendix B MPE/iX Command Interpreter (CI) Variables

The MPE/iX command interpreter provides numerous predefined environment
variables, some of which you can redefine. In addition to these
predefined variables, users can create variables of their own. All
variables applicable to the X Window environment are user-defined and are
not preconfigured into the CI.

User-defined variables apply only to the current session and are erased
upon its termination. It is possible to instruct MPE/iX to recreate
these variables every time that you log on. For a description of how
this may be done, refer to the discussion of MPE/iX user-defined commands
(UDCs) with OPTION LOGON in Using the 900 Series HP 3000: Advanced
Skills (31126A Opt. 002).
