Moving Exact Duplicates of Database Data Sets, Data Files, and Forms
Files
The ARCHIVE TRANSFER softkey moves HP 260 database data sets, data files,
and forms files. Generally, the ARCHIVE move mode moves exact duplicates
of files.
Follow the directions below to move an archive:
1. Type RUN "TRNSFR".
2. Enter the number of the port connected to the HP 3000.
3. Log onto the HP 3000.
4. Press the ARCHIVE TRANSFER softkey.
5. Enter the HP 260 source file name.
6. Enter the HP 3000 destination file name. Enter only the file
name; group and account names are not allowed. TRNSFR changes
each record to hexadecimal and moves it to the HP 3000.
Afterward, TRNSFR changes the entire file from hexadecimal into
binary.
The example below shows how to use TRNSFR to move an archive.

NOTE The file is not created if the HP 3000 file "MYDAT1" already
exists. The TRNSFR program reports an error and does not send the
file.
