HP Business BASIC/XL Migration Guide
Using TRNSFR
To begin using TRNSFR, follow this procedure on the HP 260:
1. Run "CONFIG" to load the T10 DROM and configure an RS 232 port for
use with the HP 3000.
2. Enter the command RUN "TRNSFR".
3. Enter the number of the port that is connected to the HP 3000.
4. When the HP 3000 prompt (:) appears, log onto the HP 3000. After
you log on, all MPE commands are available to you.
:HELLO MYUSER.MYACCT,MYGROUP
NOTE Set the baud rate on the HP 3000 and HP 260 to "4800." This ensures
greater accuracy in moving files from the HP 260 to the HP 3000.
The TRNSFR softkey labels are similar to the LK3000 softkeys. The
softkey labels and corresponding numbers are different as shown in Table
18-1. Unlisted softkeys are the same as those in LK3000. Refer to the
TIO/260 Programming Manual for information about LK3000.

Softkeys 5, 13, 6, and 14 correspond to the labels the DSN/DS program
uses. The DATA FILE TRANSFER softkey moves data files into HP 3000 ASCII
files. The ARCHIVE TRANSFER softkey moves exact duplicates of files.
The following paragraphs contain descriptions of the ARCHIVE TRANSFER,
DATA FILE TRANSFER, and BATCH softkeys with instructions for using them
in the TRNSFR program.
