Modifying an Alternate Configuration Group
To modify an alternate configuration group, enter:
sysgen>BASEGROUP newgroup
The command BASEGROUP is used to specify configuration groups other than
the default group, CONFIG.SYS.
newgroup (which is newgroup.SYS) can now be modified using the
configurator programs. You must execute a temporary save (HOLD) before
exiting a configurator program, and KEEP newgroup before exiting SYSGEN.
If you do not include newgroup when you execute KEEP (and if you do not
specify a newgroup when you run SYSGEN), the modified group will be saved
as the basegroup, and will overwrite your current basegroup.
