System Administrator's Quick Reference Guide

Organizing Space on System Volumes 

The ALTERVOL command is used to set the ratio of permanent to transient
data space on a system volume.  It is not used with user volumes.

To allocate system volume space, enter:

     volutil:ALTERVOL VNAME=setname:volname;PERM=percentperm;TRANS=percenttrans 

Percent parameters are values between 0 and 100.
