Troubleshooting Terminal, Printer, and Serial Device Connections
RESET L[dev Number]
Clears the software associated with a particular logical device number
(and its associated port) so that the associated device may be used
again.
Security level: 2.
Syntax

Parameters
ldevnum
The logical device number associated with the connection you want to
reset.
Description
This subcommand also resets the port associated with this ldev number.
Also, any session or job running on the device is aborted.
When it is complete, the reset prompt will be displayed and you can then
enter another RESET subcommand.

In the above example, any information associated with the ldev 41 is
reset. This includes the physical port (resetting the physical port is
not required). Any associated session is aborted.
