Using the Screen Painter

The screen painter allows you to create or modify the screens for an
application. To run the screen painter, select the Screen Painter option
on the screens menu, or press the Painter function key on the other
screens.

When the painter starts, it prompts you to enter the name of a screen.
You must define the screen name and type on the screen header screen
before you can call it up with the painter.

If you're painting a new screen, the painter presents you with a screen
that is blank except for the bottom two lines.

The bottom two lines of the screen are prompt lines. The painter prompts
you for input or displays messages in these lines. If you enter the name
of an existing screen and the screen layout already exists, the painter
displays the existing screen image.
