Cut To Buffer vs.  Delete Line 

You may have noticed that there are two methods for deleting a block of
text.  Earlier in Lesson 4, you deleted several lines of text by
specifying a count before you performed the Delete Line command.  The
Delete Line command, though, does not save text in the Cut/Paste buffer
before it does the delete.  If you wish to save the text for a paste
operation, you must perform the Cut To Buffer command.
