Selecting a Block of Text

Selecting the Startof Text
To select a block of text, position the cursor on the line on which you
want the block to begin, and execute the Mark Line Block Start command by
pressing either the Mark Line Block function key or by pressing X.
Position the cursor on the first line as shown:[REV END]

Press F1, Mark Line Blk
A message indicating that a line block mark has been selected is
displayed in the message window.

Marking the Endof Text
[REV BEG]
To mark the end of an implicit block, move the cursor to where you want
the block to end, and execute the command you want to perform on the
block.
To mark the end of an explicit line block, move the cursor on the last
line of text in the block. Execute the Select Block command by pressing
B (there is no function key assigned to this command).
Position the cursor on the last line of the first paragraph as
shown:
Press B
The block you selected is now highlighted on your screen.
To cancel a block selection
Press Control X.[REV END]
