RJE/XL Node Manager's Guide

RJE/XL Troubleshooting Tools

The troubleshooting tools within RJE/XL are designed to assist you in
isolating and identifying problems within the subsystem. These tools can
also assist you in isolating and identifying problems that exist below or
outside the RJE/XL subsystem, although that is not their primary purpose.
Although these tools can assist in troubleshooting the BSC link, they
primarily provide system status and configuration.

The following provides a summary of the available tools and their
purposes. Refer to the RJE Programmer/User Reference Manual to get more
detail on the parameters that can be passed as well as the capabilities
provided with the respective commands.

 * RJLOG command serves to enable and disable the RJE/XL upper level
    logging.

 * RJINFO command initiates a line information display of the
communication line. The information is printed on $STDLIST as an aid
    in diagnosing problems.

 * RJDEBUG command allows RJE/XL to access the MPE XL debug mode.

 * RJCONTINUE command enables you to provide a procedure to evaluate
errors and provide limited direction for error handling.

 * RJSTAT command provides statistical information on frequency of
subsystem command use, elapsed times, and tallies of data transmitted
    and received.

 * RJE/XL error messages point out problems.
