SWITCHNMLOG closes the current
NMLG file and creates and opens a new one. When you enter SWITCHNMLOG,
NMS displays the message:
NMLG FILE NUMBER nnnn IS mm% FULL |
where nnnn is the previous NMLG
FILE number, mm is the percentage of
file space used, and pppp is the newly
opened file numbered one more than the last file number.
If network logging is disabled due to an irrecoverable error
when SWITCHNMLOG is entered, NMS
displays the following message explaining the cause. The system
will need to be brought back up with a warm or cool start.
NMLG FILE NUMBER nnnn ERROR #nn. NM LOGGING STOPPED. (NMCNERR 36) |
If network logging is enabled but currently suspended due
to a recoverable error, NMS displays the following message explaining
the cause. When the problem is corrected, the manager can issue
the RESUMENMLOG command.
NMLG FILE NUMBER nnnn ERROR #nn. NM LOGGING SUSPENDED. (NMCNERR 38) |
