Lesson 2: Software |  |
Any of the following are typical tasks: electronic mail; document processing; data processing; games; form or menu creation. MPE stands for multi programming executive. MPE/iX is the operating system for the 900 Series HP 3000 computers. MPE/iX manages all system resources and coordinates the execution of all programs running on the system. CI stands for the command interpreter.
Lesson 3: The Keyboard |  |
Information entered is a set of characters — nothing is sent to the computer until Return or Enter is pressed. Although the characters may still remain visible on the terminal screen, the Back Space key (←) "erases" characters from terminal memory as it spaces backwards over them.
