 Table of Contents The X Window System includes clients that enable you to do screen dumps. A screen dump is an operation that captures an image from your screen and saves it in a bitmap file. You can then redisplay, edit, or send the file to the printer for hardcopy reproduction. Read this chapter if you need to "take a picture" of something on the screen for future use or if you want to print what is on your screen. This chapter discusses the following topics:
