Chapter 1  Getting Started 

This guide explains how to setup and maintain HP ALLBASE/SQL PC API. This
chapter presents the following topics:

   *   A general description of the HP ALLBASE/SQL PC API product and how
       it is used.

   *   A detailed description of hardware and system software required by
       PC API for both the database server and the PC client.

Throughout this guide the HP ALLBASE/SQL PC API product will be referred
to as PC API.
