Micro Focus COBOL System Reference, Volume 1

Overview

provided with this COBOL system and to the file handling of the operating
system.

The COBOL system library routines include routines to allow access to the
operating system for file and directory operations.  They are described
in the chapter Library Routines (Call-by-Name).
