Overview The Compiler and the RTS recognize the stdin, stdoutand stderrdevices, and files opened with these names at run time. DISPLAY UPON PRINTER writes to the standard input of the process specified by the COBPRINTER environment variable. Your Micro Focus COBOL system supports a number of calls which allow you to control a printer attached to your terminal. Using these calls, you can switch the printer on or off-line, print the current screen, and cause a string of characters to be printed. A number of terminfo capabilities are required for printer, screen and keyboard control, and further entries may optionally be used. The system supports the use of wide terminals, Wyse terminals, and terminals lacking the ability to detect certain keystrokes.
