Configuring your System 

The COBOL language supported by this system includes certain extensions
which allow you to submit source programs written in Microsoft COBOL 
Version 2.2 directly to this COBOL system.

Before submitting your Microsoft COBOL Version 2.2 programs to this COBOL
system, you must select the Microsoft Version 2.2 option from within the
Setup utility to ensure that your programs are accepted successfully.
This will:

   *   set the following system directives:

       MS(2)
       OSEXT(COB)
       NOOSVS
       NOMF
       NORW
       NOANS85
       NOBOUND
       OLDINDEX
       NOTRUNC
       AUTOLOCK
       NOOPTIONAL-FILE
       PERFORM-TYPE(RM)
       SIGN(EBCDIC)
       RESTRICT(LINE-SEQUENTIAL)
       RESTRICT(SEQUENTIAL)

       For further details of these directives, see your COBOL Sytem 
       Reference.

   *   select the Microsoft COBOL Version 2.2 screen handling
       configuration.  (For details of this, see the section on
       configuring ADIS in your COBOL System Reference).
