"Navigating" Within HP SPT/XL 

During analysis you can access over 15 screens that display performance
data recorded in the logfile.  You can use function keys to navigate
between these display screens.  Figure 2-3 shows the screen names and the
function keys you select to access them.


NOTE  Chapter 5 lists these screens in alphabetical order with an
      explanation of the data displayed on each.

The following are general HP SPT/XL function keys:

 *   Next Key Set allows you to cycle through several levels of function
    keys.  This structure gives you the ability to access the most
    frequently used screens from anywhere in the program.  Note that
    pressing ENTER works, too.

 *   Choose Trans displays a list of all defined transactions, and
    prompts you for a new current or active transaction type.
    Performance data is displayed for a selected transaction type.

 *   Print sends a copy of the current display to the line printer.  The
    default device is LP and the file name is SPTLIST. The print file
    will be closed when you return to the HP SPT/XL Main Menu.

 *   Print Std Report writes a series of reports about the current
    transaction to the line printer.  These reports are:  Transaction
    Summary Information, Intrinsic Profile, Code File Sample Profile,
    File Use Statistics, and TurboIMAGE Database Statistics.

 *   New Log File allows you to select a different logfile.  The current
    logfile will be closed and you will be prompted for a logfile name.

 *   Help displays Help text.

 *   Main Menu returns you to the HP SPT/XL Main Menu.

 *   Exit on the Main Menu exits you from HP SPT/XL.
