Information Access Server: System Management

Before You Begin 

Do the following before you begin the installation:

   *   Read about the product.  Review the manual set for Access Server
       and for Access PC.

   *   If you have been running Access Server under MPE/V and are
       migrating to MPE/XL, you must first migrate your data dictionary
       and databases before running the MPE autoinstall (AUTOINST)
       program.  Follow the steps in Appendix A, "Migrating the Data
       Dictionary and Databases."

   *   Be sure you have the necessary Access PC and Access Server
       software.

       If the system is not yet running the required version of MPE (see
       "Software Requirements" in Chapter 2), install that version of
       MPE. Follow the standard software installation instructions, which
       include using AUTOINST to install the required version of MPE and
       the complete subsystem tape containing Access Server.
