Setting Up and Maintaining Your System The Installation Guide
Setting Up Additional Software Products
Your system may have additional software products that require special
setup attention. To determine if your system has such additional
software products, follow these steps:
1. Check to see that you logged on as MANAGER.SYS. Type this:

Your screen will display information about your logon identity on
the first line to let you know if you are currently in
MANAGER.SYS.
If you are not logged on as MANAGER.SYS, use the HELLO command to
log on as MANAGER.SYS
:HELLO MANAGER.SYS Return
2. Enter the password for this user when you are prompted.
3. At the system prompt (:), type the LISTFILE command to find out if
the file SPNAMES exists on your system.
:LISTFILE SPNAMES Return
[REV BEG]
4. If no file is found, you will see the following message:
NON-EXISTENT FILE SPNAMES.PUB.SYS. (CIWARN 920). This message
indicates that you have not purchased any of the software that
requires special setup attention, and you can proceed to the next
section, "To Create Your Account Structure."[REV END]
If a file is found, enter the following command to display the
contents of the file on the console screen.
:PRINT SPNAMES Return
Refer to the manual Preparing Additional Software Products for Use
on the HP 3000 Series 9X7LX (36123-90014) for details about the
products listed in your SPNAMES file. The manual contains the
procedures needed to complete the installation process of those
products listed in the SPNAMES file.
Some of these routines may ask you for a password. Refer to the
passwords that you recorded on your configuration worksheet.
If you are unable to recall the password for a particular account,
group, or user, refer to the section entitled "To display
passwords," in Chapter 6 of Using Your System.
