HP Predictive Support CE Guide For HP 3000 Series 900
Predictive Gateway Node Network Information
For a Predictive Gateway Node, it is assumed that the following address
is already configured:
* X.25 address for X.25 connectivity to the HP X.25 NETWORK. In our
example, this X.25 address is 1234 5678 06 0199.
For an HP 3000 Predictive Gateway Node, it is assumed that the DTC
SNP card is installed and already configured with this X.25
address using either OPENVIEW on PC-based, or NMMGR on host-based
DTC configuration.
For a router, it is assumed that the router is already installed,
but not configured. See the section, "Configuring the HP Router
ER as a Predictive Gateway Node at the Customer's Site" for the
configuration information.
The customer's Predictive Gateway Node must be configured with the
following:
* HP Response Center Node's node name. In our example, this is
predict.x25.hp.
* X.25 Network IP address for X.25 access to the HP Response Center
Node. In our example, this is B 122.222 222.100.
* HP Response Center Node's X.25 Network IP address. In our
example, this is B 122.222 222.050.
* HP Response Center Node's X.25 address. In our example, this is
1234 5678 06 0200, which will then be translated at the X.25
Switching Node to 8700 5555 555 555.
_________________________________________________________________
NOTE The HP Response Center Contact will ensure that the
translation is configured on the X.25 Switching Node and the
X.25 translated address of 8700 5555 555 555 is configured
on the HP Response Center Node.

For HP 3000 Predictive Gateway Node
* HP Response Center Node's Address Key (use the node portion of
node.domain.org). In our example, this is predict.
* NI name for the interface to the X.25 network. In our example,
this is x25pred.
