Configuring the LAN Console Card Remote Console Port 

Use this procedure to configure the remote console port on the LAN
console card.

   1.  Run NMMGR from manager.sys.  This displays the Open
       Configuration/Directory File screen.

   2.  Press f1, Open CONFIG to reach the Main menu.

   3.  Press f1, DTS to reach the Host Configuration screen.

   4.  Press f4, Go To UserPort to reach the HP Support Modem Port
       screen.

   5.  Modify the screen fields as shown:

              Logical Device:  21

              Line Speed:  2400

              Modem:  1 [US Modem]

              Parity:  None

   6.  Press f6, Save Data.

   7.  Exit NMMGR by returning through the prior screens, or type Exit at
       the command line and press Enter twice.

Modem Support 

HP Predictive Support supports six modems for MPE/iX and the LAN console
card for release 4.0 and later, regardless of the country in which the
system is located.  Refer to Appendix C for the modem switch settings for
the LAN console card.
