SupportLink 

Use the front panel to set the options for this modem.  Areas important
to the setting of the modem are the:

   *   Liquid crystal display (LCD)
   *   Numeric keys
   *   Labeled keys (such as, RESET, OPTION, ENTER).


NOTE For Remote Console Use: The internal jumper (located inside the modem, rear, left-side) should connect the two pins furthest from the W1 label, position AA.
[REV END] Prepare the Modem Regardless of configuration type, always set the SupportLink options to their default settings: 1. Make sure the LCD indicates IDLE. a. Idle is the normal state of the modem when it is first turned on. b. To force an idle state at any time, press the RESET key. 2. Reset all options to their default setting as follows: a. Press OPTION. (The LCD displays the word, OPTION.) b. Press 1; then press ENTER (The LCD displays 1 * n, where 1 is the option and n is its current setting.) c. Press 3; then press ENTER. (The LCD displays OPTION.) d. Press RESET. You are now ready to set the options. Set the Options Be sure that you have reset all options to their default settings (see "Prepare the Modem," above). Table C-5 displays all the options for each configuration type. To set the options: 1. Press the number corresponding to the first option to be changed; then press ENTER. 2. Press the number corresponding to the setting you want for the option; then press ENTER. 3. Follow Steps 1 and 2 for each option to be changed. 4. When done, press RESET. Table C-5.
